Less talking more training for Broner
- Updated: October 2, 2015
Adrien Broner (30-2, 22 KOs), with his brash attitude has made him an easy target to the general public, as he consistently puts his foot in his mouth. And with a 2-3 record in his last five fights, the former multi-division titlist isn’t doing himself any favors by pretending his untouchable.
More recently however, Broner, perhaps tired of the criticism, decided to end the talking and instead focus on training for once, as he prepares to take on Khabib Allakhverdiev (19-1, 9 KOs) on Saturday night from Cincinnati on Showtime.
After refusing to make any comments to the media again during his recent workout, Broner only offered up a quick comment during Thursday’s final press conference.
“I told you I wouldn’t do any interviews or talk. Nothing has changed. I just want to thank everyone for coming. I will be victorious on Saturday night, October 3,” said Broner.
Perhaps this is a Broner who realizes the outside-the-ring shenanigans aren’t doing him any favors, or perhaps he’s sick of the criticism. Either way, we’ll find out on Saturday night if he does indeed mean business or if it’s more of the same.
