Brandon ‘Bam Bam’ Rios was a recent guest on Oxnard based radio station Q104.7 following his third match against Mike Alvarado in January.

The main subject at hand was what’s next for the welterweight contender, and just like he said to the HBO cameras in Danver, Rios again called for a match against Victor Ortiz.

There is obvious ‘Bad Blood’ (possible title Bad Blood II following Oscar De La Hoya/Fernando Vargas’ ‘Bad Blood’ fight?) between these two 147 pound fighters, and apparently the drama dates back to their childhood in Kansas.

“You don’t understand how much I hate this dude.”

Rios went on to explain that while growing up, he stood up for Ortiz, even allegedly engaging in street beefs in place of Ortiz.

The now Oxnard native went on to say that there is something that happened to cause the dissention, which he will only make public if the two can make an agreement to face off in the ring. The reason is apparently also the reason that Rios’ trainer, former titlist Robert Garcia, dislikes Ortiz.

“At the press conference I will probably smack him.”

This has grudge match written all over it in 2015.
