Nor Cal boxers return to Cache Creek Jan. 24

Some of Northern California’s top talent will be on display to start the new year.

Delano’s Paul “El Gallo Negro” Mendez (15-2-2, 6 KO) will headline the card. Fighting at Cache Creek for the second straight fight, the middleweight last fought in April, winning a unanimous decision over Santiago Perez.

Featherweight prospect Guy Robb (14-1, 6 KO) will co-headline the event. The Sacramento native has won seven fights in a row since suffering the first loss of his pro career to Joel Diaz Jr. Robb last fought in August, knocking out previously undefeated Ronell Green in the third round.

Also confirmed for the card is San Jose’s Andy Vences (9-0, 5 KO.) The super featherweight prospect’s exciting style is making him a local favorite in the area. Vences’ last fight also came in August when he knocked Cesar Martinez down in round one en route to a second round stoppage victory.

The boxing card will take place at the Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks, California on January 24 and is promoted by Don Chargin Productions & Paco Presents.

Tickets priced at $125, $95 and $65 are now available at CacheCreek.com.
