Crawford retains title over Beltran

Unbeaten lightweight titlist Terence Crawford (25-0, 17 KOs) successfully defended his WBO title with a unanimous decision win over Ray Beltran (29-7-1, 17 KOs) on Saturday night.
Fighting in front of his hometown for the second fight in a row, Crawford looked good from the onset, as he used his speed and higher workrate to dominate Beltran from start to finish. Beltran for his part, was aggressive and tried to get in Crawford’s face, but he was simply too slow to push Crawford in any meaningful way.
Final scores were 119-109, 119-109 and 120-108. With this last title defense out of the way, Crawford now plans to move up to the junior welterweight division.
