Hugo Centeno now has a new opponent in Gerardo Ibarra after his original opponent, Domonique Dolton, was forced to pull out due to a hand injury.
Ibarra (14-0, 8 KO) was the 2005 National Junior Olympic champion and he even defeated Gary Russell Jr in that same tournament.
“To put it simply, I love fighting,” Ibarra said. “Boxing is about opportunities and this is a great platform to showcase my talent on a national network and I promise that after the fight everyone will know who “TinTin” is.”
Centeno (20-0, 11 KO) is coming off a fight where he tasted the canvas against Angel Osuna in the seventh round. He came back and eventually knocked out Osuna in the tenth and final round.
In the co-feature, Eddie Gomez (16-0, 10 KO) will take on Francisco Santana (19-3-1, 7 KO) in a 10-round junior middleweight match.
ShoBox: The New Generation takes place on Friday, June 6 live on SHOWTIME (10 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast) from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif.
