It was an electric atmosphere inside the MGM Grand as fans packed the arena waving Mexican flags around as far as the eye can see.

Erislandy Lara was greeted with boos from the largely pro-Canelo crowd, but he appeared unfazed as he stepped onto the scale and weighed in at a ready 155 lbs and with a body that looked sculpted.

“I wanted to punch his face in during the stare down. I don’t care that the fans are booing me, the support will change tomorrow,” Lara said after the weigh-in. “Canelo better be ready. Viva Mexico!”

When Canelo made his way to the scale, the arena exploded in delight as fans made it known who they want to win tomorrow night. Like Lara, Alvarez also weighed 155 lbs.
