Fury to fight on Saturday despite Chisora’s withdrawal

A new opponent is being negotiated for Tyson Fury after his scheduled opponent Dereck Chisora was forced to withdraw from the fight due to a broken left hand.
“I can’t tell you how disappointed I am to have to pull out of the fight against Fury, but it is on the advice of my specialist that I have to do this,” Chisora said. “I’m sorry for the fans who will get to miss this great fight between me and Tyson this Saturday, but once my hand is healed and I’m given the all-clear to train and punch again, I’ll be working on the new date for the fight.”
The rest of the fight card will go on as planned. Billy Joe Saunders will take on undefeated Emanuele Blandamura for the Vacant European Middleweight Championship. Liam Smith defends his British title against Jason Welborn. The card will also see heavyweight Eddie Chambers and up-and-coming middleweight prospect Chris Eubank Jr in action.
A new opponent for Fury is expected to be announced within the next two days with the fight taking place this Saturday at the Phones 4 U Arena in Manchester.
