Haye, Briggs win embarrassing fights

At the O2 Arena in London, both David Haye and Shannon Briggs scored early knockouts to setup a September clash on a card that was aimed at building up hype.
Unfortunately neither fight produced anything but head-shaking results.
In the main event, Haye 28-2, 26 KOs) rolled over Arnold Gjergjaj (29-1, 21 KOs) in less than two rounds, flooring him three times in the process. Haye dropped Gjergjag in the opening minute of the first round, and then sent him down again at the end of the round, though the referee didn’t count it. In both instances, it appeared as if a stiff wind would put Gjergjaj down.
In the second round, Haye sent Gjergjaj down again with jabs and blocked punches, finally ending the atrocious fight.
In the co-feature, Shannon Briggs (60-6-1, 53 KOs) scored a body shot knockout of Emilio Zarate (20-17-3, 11 KOs) in the first round. Though the body shot looked punishing, Zarate appeared ready to call it a night as soon as the bell rang.
