Haye knocks out de Mori

David Haye made his return to the ring on Saturday night at the O2 in London, with a first round knockout of Mark de Mori.

Haye (27-2, 25 KOs), who had been in retirement for over three years, looked bigger than usual, at 227 ¼ pounds, but sat on his punches, as he fought aggressively in search for an early night.

De Mori (30-2-2, 26 KOs) fought tentatively as he stayed on the defensive from the start and never managed to land anything of note.  Midway through the first round, Haye, who had already buzzed de Mori earlier in the round, landed a big right hand that had de Mori on his way down.  Haye however, landed another series of punches before de Mori landed on the canvas, and it was all over.

Haye said after the fight that he felt better at a heavier weight and feels in great shape.  He also noted that he would be up for fighting Anthony Joshua and would consider fighting Tyson Fury, dependent on whether he gets by Wladimir Klitschko and retains his title.
