Ishe Smith gets new opponent for May return bout

Former junior middleweight titlist Ishe Smith finally has a new opponent for his May 2 fight, after Erislandy Lara pulled out in order to sign on to face Canelo Alvarez on July 12.

Smith (25-6, 11 KOs), who is coming off a split decision loss to Carlos Molina, in which he lost his title, will now face Ryan Davis (24-13-3, 9 KOs), who has been in the ring with the likes of Zab Judah, Vanes Martirosyan and David Lopez.

The card, which takes place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, will feature a lightweight bout between Mickey Bey and Alan Herrera.  Also on the card will be Jesus Cuellar facing Rico Ramos in a 12-round featherweight fight.

Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports Deportes will air the card beginning at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
