Jacobs stops Quillin in 1

Daniel Jacobs wasted no time in trying to prove who the better fighter from Brooklyn was on Saturday night, as he jumped all over Peter Quillin in the opening round, en route to a first-round stoppage.

As soon as the bell rung, Jacobs was out swinging, as he looked to catch Quillin by surprise and it worked to a tee.  Quillin tried to weather the storm, even after getting stunned the first time but Jacobs kept throwing punches from every conceivable angle and stunned Quillin again Рthis time Quillin was on shaky legs and with his eyes glossed over, referee Harvey Dock made the wise choice of waving it off before things got any worse.
