Khan scores lopsided decision over Collazo

It was expected to be one of, if not the most competitive fight on the card, but Amir Khan made sure that Luis Collazo was never in the fight, as he made a successful debut at welterweight to score a lopsided decision win.
Khan (29-3, 19 KOs) boxed well, using his speed and lead right hands to give Collazo (35-5, 18 KOs) all sorts of trouble. In the fourth round, Khan floored Collazo with a short right hand. Collazo seemed to shake off the knockdown and continued to fight on, but Khan was beginning to take control of the fight.
Collazo was deducted a point in the eighth round for a low blow, but later in the round, Khan was deducted a point for holding.
In the 10th round, Khan dropped Collazo with a sizzling hook to the body and moments later, sent him down again from a barrage of punches. Mentally, Collazo looked done but he recovered and fought on. In the end, Khan would take home a clear cut decision with scores of 117-106, 119-104 and 119-104.
