Lemieux to return on Canelo-Khan card

David Lemieux, who had his fight canceled last week when he failed to make weight for his scheduled fight against James De La Rosa, has been given another opportunity to return to action on May 7.
Lemieux (34-3, 31 KOs) is set to take on Glen Tapia (23-2, 15 KOs) in a 10-round middleweight clash as the co-feature of the PPV headlined by the middleweight title fight between Canelo Alvarez and Amir Khan.
“I am back,” said Lemieux. “I am coming back strong and ready to be on top of the middleweight division where I belong.”
Also just announced for the PPV telecast is Frankie Gomez facing off against Mauricio Herrera in a 1o-round welterweight fight. ¬†The opening bout of the card will see Patrick Teixeira against Curtis Stevens (27-5, 20 KOs) in a 10-round middleweight bout.
Tickets to Canelo-Khan are on sale now and are¬†priced at $1,500, $1,000, $800, $600, $400, $250 and $150.
