On this week’s ESPN Friday Night Fights, Reynaldo Ojeda (17-0, 9 KOs) remained undefeated by winning a lopsided unanimous decision win over Monty Meza-Clay (36-5, 22 KOs) in Hartford, Connecticut. Scores were 99-91, 99-91, 98-92.
Also in action was Luis Rosa (20-0, 10 KOs), who kept his own undefeated streak alive with a fifth round TKO over Jonathan Perez (33-11, 27 KOs). In the fourth round, Rosa floored Perez, but suffered a point deduction after hitting Perez while he was down. In the fifth, Rosa stunned Perez and finished him off after a barrage of punches forced a stoppage.
In the opening fight of the telecast, Ivan Golub (8-0, 6 KOs) scored a fifth round stoppage over Henry Beckford (2-2, 1 KO), who was coming in as a late sub. In the fifth round, Golub dropped Beckford and finished him off moments later.
