Manny Pacquiao exacted revenge on Saturday night, as he outpointed Timothy Bradley to not only hand him his first pro loss, but also to annex the WBO welterweight title in Las Vegas.

The fight started off with exciting exchanges, as both fighters looked to impose their will on the other.  Bradley was smartly going to the body, as he looked to wear Pacquiao down early, while Pacquiao focused on zeroing in on the head with straight left hands.

Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38 KOs) landed a left hand in the second round that staggered Bradley but Bradley (31-1, 12 KOs) returned fire in the fourth round when a straight right wobbled Pacquiao.  The action slowed down in the middle rounds as Bradley began to showboat and fight more defensively.  Meanwhile, Pacquiao continued coming forward and slowly took control of the fight.

Scores were 116-112, 116-112 and 118-110 for Pacquiao, who avenged the controversial 2012 decision loss to Bradley. According to Top Rank, Pacquiao is expected to face the winner of the May showdown between Juan Manuel Marquez and Mike Alvarado.

Thought Bradley had the right gameplan early on but then decided to abandon it and got sloppy.
