Last night, Glendale, Arizona, Lee Selby (22-1, 8 KOs) successfully defended his featherweight title against former, multi-division champ Fernando Montiel (54-5-2, 39 KOs) in the co-feature on Premier Boxing Champions.

Selby outboxed the 36-year old former champ and was simply too busy and perhaps too youthful for his challenger, as he dominated from the outset.  Selby, who is by no means a power puncher, was still too big for the naturally smaller Montiel, despite Montiel cutting Selby over his right eye in the sixth round.

Final scores were 119-109, 118-110 and 116-112.
