On Thursday it was announced that Manny Pacquiao had won a seat in the Philippine Senate during a ceremony in Manila.
Pacquiao (58-6-2, 38 KOs) who scored a unanimous decision win over Timothy Bradley in their rubber match last month, had stated that he wanted to become a politician and subsequently announced his retirement after the fight.
The Filipino legend garnered over 16 million votes, which was enough to put him in the selected group of 12 new members to the senate.
