Ding ding ding!!!!

Tomorrow boxing’s middleweight boogey man Gennady Golovkin makes his ring return in attempts to keep his undefeated and knockout streaks alive while defending his titles against unknown Dominic Wade live from the newly renovated Forum in Inglewood, California.

The HBO televised event has a co-feature bout featuring the No. 1 ranked fighter in the world with GGG’s regular supporting actor in Nicaragua’s Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez defending his undefeated status and title against McWilliams Arroyo.

Enough with the particulars, let’s get to this!!!!!!

Golovkin is very heavy handed with both hands, which in addition to leading him to 20 consecutive knockout wins, has also garnered him the reputation of one of the biggest punches, if not the best, in the sport of boxing.

The Kazak’s last two opponents failed to reach the championship rounds and his opponent Wade is coming off a disputed split decision victory over former title holder Sam Soliman. (Wade did score a KO over Eddie Hunter in the bout previous to Soliman)

Another interesting stat: Of Golovkin’s 34 professional bouts, only three have reached the final bell.

If one person is going to be dominant in the power punching department, look for that to be GGG.

Since beginning his career in Germany in 2006, Golovkin has known nothing but success and title wins in a highly decorated professional career thus far that has yielded him the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBC interim titles at middleweight. Golovkin has also shown a penchant for taking out opponents early, as well as leading them into deep waters only to finish them off via stoppage.

Golovkin has shown that he can still be devastatingly effective even in the later rounds of a fight.

Wade has yet to attain a title in the professional ranks and also has yet to defeat a known opponent since turning pro in 2009.

Until a bonafide threat steps into the ring against Golovkin, it will continue to be a ‘big drama show’ every time Golovkin gloves up. The heavy hitter has yet to show much of any signs of being in trouble inside the squared circle and has been able to assert his will whenever he desires.

Wade also sports an undefeated record alongside 12 stoppages in 18 fights, but has yet to face a high caliber opponent until Saturdays meeting against Golovkin.

So there you have it 3MR readers, we’ve got a sweep in GGG’s direction!

Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow live on HBO to see two of the top rated fighters once again billed on the same card and looking to keep their undefeated records in tact come fight night.
